I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with 15 years of experience, providing individual and family counseling services. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, complicated grief, attachment, adjustment issues, and divorce counseling . I have extensive experience working with Dissociative Identity Disorders (DID) and other dissociative symptoms. I use ego state therapy and EMDR often in my work. I have integrated neurofeedback, a specialized form of biofeedback, into my practice as a stand alone therapy or to be used in conjunction with psychotherapy. I do minimal talk therapy, mostly focusing on reaching your identified goals using therapeutic tools to process past events. By creating a path to be used as a compass towards those goals clients are able reorient themselves towards those goals during and after therapy.
I am 74 years old with previous careers as a naval officer, commercial pilot, accountant, police officer and am a retired FBI special agent. I continue to work because I find providing counseling services to facilitate individual wholeness and well-being the most interesting and rewarding work I have done. I use the therapeutic process and lessons learned from real world experience to develop positive outcomes. I focus on client goals, communication and finding hope for change to bring about wholeness through the integration of mind, body and emotions in present time.
